@20031200 Lucky you. When I was at Great Lakes, it was the middle of the summer and because the heat condition was black, they decided to use a fake fire instead of a real fire when we did firefighting which sucked but I still thought firefighting was very fun.

@MJB919 I had it better than you for fire fighting. Our company had a oral instruction as a group. But we never had to actually perform the test. The company XPO, was a 2nd class whom made a deal with us saying he would credit us all for passing if we promised to keep our mouths shut about not having to do it. I was snowy cold and February we all kept our word ! LOL

I went to firefighting school in San Diego back in 85. Real fuel oil fire and real smoke. This ain't shit!!!

Firefighting was by far the funnest part of Navy boot camp when I went through it.
