@drjazzisme Oh I agree it is impossible. It's easily proved because the balls are fully 'charged' with kinetic energy (on the way up) but don't 'discharge' all of their energy back into the system since they're only on the wheel for a really short distance. They lose some kinetic energy along the way without it being used, therefore the machine won't work forever, even in a smooth (without friction) vacuum.
