great video guys, whats your process for setting dyes when you are soaking a rug in a wash pit with that amount of water?

This is ridiculous.

Great rubber boots!

Is that dirt or dye? How much did that carpet bleed?
-
No way!!! A guy I know has a hand-made rug that cost around $4000-$5000. They can go for even more. I doubt that it would cost that much to clean.

would it be less expensive to buy a new one??

We use a chemical that keeps the dyes from reattaching themselves to the rug.

That is dirt coming out of the rug.

The yellow machine in the video is a Cimex machine. We also use a heavy roller.

fabulous job! You really have a set up for doing great cleaning. How many times must you rinse to finally get clean water and all the bleeading color out? Thanks for showing this.

It depends on the rug as to how many times we must rinse it. The rug in the video stayed in the pit for two days with the water running before it finally ran clean. Most of the time 3-4 hours is sufficient time to work a rug in the pit. It all depends on the level of soiling or in this case urine.

Just to clarify what you see is not color from the rug in the water. A dog that was in heat laid all over it and then another dog threw up on it several times and it was full of dog urine and feces.
