I agree with you. Life without the chance of parole is the way to go. Even a sociopath would be forced to, at least analytically, think about why they are in prison.

I have no strong opinion either way. For my own part, if I was in trouble for anything, regardless of the crime, I would prefer death to prison.
But I can't help but notice how a lot of killers stall the death sentence in litigation for as long as they can.
As far as they're concerned, death is much worse.

What is your opinion of murderers who are attacked in prison for their crimes? Do you think it's right for inmates to attack them or do you think that inmates should leave murderers alone and let the justice system deal with them?

I think you make an excellent point about not bringing the murdered victims back by killing the murderers. I think that murderers suffer more for their crimes when they are sent to prison for life without the chance of parole. It makes them think about what they have done and the grief they cause the victim's families and friends.
