This film was given two thumbs up by Ebert & Company, but a bomb rating in Leonard Maltin's movie guide. It doesn't look like a bomb to me. It looks like a funny film, with the sort of witty dialog Allen is known for.

@Wk2L it's a version of "The Look of Love," but not sure which. The song has been recorded literally hundreds of time in the last 40+ years.

Brilliant movie. Woody Allen at it's best. Great how Biggs is playing a role of younger Allen and Allen's views of life shift to the more pragmatic side.
Awful trailer though. It does not capture the spirit of the movie at all. Hey there's not even Woody's character in it. It's like having a trailer for Spartacus without showing Spartacus in it.

That's one of the most annoying films ever! The protagonist is a fucking important and watching all the mess around him was unbearable! The sad thing is I know there are real people out there who can relate... Please, if you can relate, shoot your brains out!!!
