"...after the Americans let Russia take Berlin? (to boost Russian morale)" lol
In 1945 the Red Army didnt need someone's permission and didnt need to boost morale. And the US and its allies simply do not had the potency to the assault on Berlin...
Look at least film chronicles WW2. Allies on the Western front look like Boyscouts on the weekend - there is almost no fighting.
On the Eastern front, Germany lost 75-80% of all its resources.

"In 1945 the Red Army didnt need someone's permission and didnt need to boost morale." You're right by saying they didn't need permission, however America did let Russia take Berlin. U.S plans to invade Berlin from the ground were thrown out to prevent friendly fire by two invading armies. Also, General Eisenhower lost interest in the race to Berlin and saw no further need to suffer casualties in attacking a city that would be in the Soviet sphere of influence after the war.

Oh, and another thing....Russia had 16 million soldier deaths and 25 million deaths overall...my ass they didn't need a morale boost. Maybe they wouldn't have lost so many men if they would not have sent unarmed troops into combat or fired upon their own retreating soldiers...

Yes, to June 6, 1944 we no longer needed a morale boost, despite the number of victims. Americans would be needed, we - no. We already knew that will be win.

P.S. The number of victims is not precisely determined until now. The number of 26 million was obtained stochastically, which makes a huge error. We know one thing - the number of civilian casualties were more than soldiers.

If all the allies would have lost interest in the race to Berlin, then after some time, Hitler would have bombed the Allied A-bombs.
By the beginning of D-day outcome of WWII was already a foregone conclusion. Western allies longer fought not with Hitler, they tried to save as many as possible countries from communism.
If the Allies took Berlin, then it never went to the USSR.
