These pictures were shot the morning after Noel swept across Nova Scotia. The winds knocked out power and the storm surge caused massive erosion along the coast. Crescent beach power poles were easy prey after the sand dunes were blown away. The only road to the Lahave Islands was buried by sand. Notice the 'Caution' sign has been bent by the wind.

  • noel was a pussy

  • Poor beach, it took quite a beating worse than Juan. Foolishly the Gov backfilled with rock instead of rebuilding the rip/rap fence... that will make the end of what little dunes the beach had

  • Really good job showing the aftermath of the ferocity of the storm for those of us with family there. Thanks!

  • The carnage is just nutz. Was that Crescent Beach? Glad you made it through unharmed. We took a couple of videos of Lawrencetown Beach at 4pm Saturday. See Budman85 That was some storm!

  • Pretty crazy Bennizio
