This video was taken eight days before Treynor lost his battle with bone cancer. I will never forget the sense of hopelessness and sadness that I felt watching my best friend and companion dying before me.

Treynor's spirit and I will be joining many others who have had the same horrible experience for the first annual Canine Cancer Caucus on September 18, 2009 in Washington, D.C. We hope to gain awareness of the prevalance of canine cancer and to develop sources of funding streams for the study of comparative onocology between humans and canines. People, dogs, and other animals are dying at an increasing rate from cancer related diseases. More information is available about the Canine Cancer Caucus @ 2dogs2000miles.org

  • @kibaloveswarriors234 Your car got cancer? Sorry just trying to lighten the mood.

  • I feel your pain my car died last year to the same reason.

  • @createsf I am so very sorry to hear of your loss. Losing a dog is never easy but watching a dog like your Lab or Treynor slowly lose their battle with cancer is unbearable. Good Luck, God Bless & may we all meet up together with our companions on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge.

  • @aea9999 I am so very sorry to hear of your loss and unfortunately know exactly how you are feeling. Losing a dog is never easy but watching Treynor slowly lose his battle with cancer was unbearable. He was my once in a lifetime dog who I continue to try and honor his life by supporting canine cancer research efforts such as 2 Dogs 2000 miles (now 2 Million Dogs) and Land of Pure Gold. Good Luck, God Bless & may we all meet up together with our companions on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge.

  • I lost my lab mix 4 weeks ago to cutaneous lymphoma. We battled it for 4 months with chemo (pill and intravenous), diet change, acupuncture, etc. I saw his spirit and joy decrease every week. And I will never forget that feeling of hopelessness and sadness. I thought we'd have more time. Cancer is truly horrific for our canine companions. So sorry for your loss.

  • My 9 year old Rottweiler/Golden Retriever got bone cancer and had to be put down 3 days after my birthday in 2007. I still miss him deeply. Maybe one day they will find a way like humans to cure cancer in dogs. I can only hope that day will come sooner rather then later. Thank you for sharing his story.

  • God bless you, Treynor!

  • :'(

  • thats exactly how my dog is right now :(
