@Kirix You CAN affect other people, cause you're moving body can injure other people in or around the crashing car just like any other flying object in a crash...

only twice likely if you don't wear a seatbelt?? looking at crashes,it's almost certain that you get killed if you don't wear a seatbelt and almost unlikely if you do wear a seatbelt..tumbs up if you agree.

I wear it but the question for me really boils down to why the government should be regulating what you do in your private life. Obviously driving under the influence would be dangerous for other people driving cars, but not wearing your seatbelt doesn't really affect anyone but yourself; which is why I fundamentally disagree with the notion that there should be seatbelt laws.

I wear my seatbelt when I am sitting parked. As soon as I get in the car I put it on. My car might be stationary but that doesn't mean it can't be hit by a moving one.

yep. The unsecure feeling of no seatbelt or no bicycle helmet is a quite good thing, if you were indoctrined to wear them all the time.

i always wear my seat belt even if its one inch away even if i die i would be wearing one

I wear the seatbeat all the time, since young I wore it and now driving somehow it feels awkward not wearing one so I have no reason to forget.
Ive never been in an accident before, but under hard braking its much better to be held back in the seat as the pre-tensioners lock than pushing yourself back.
