New Year Eve was spent outdoors, this where it is supposed to be; under the full moon surrounded by the sands of desert and then followed by a nice hike to Ainee village which is on the beginning of Wadi Bih from Ras Al Khaima side.
Wadi Al Bih, which has a border splitting it between UAE and Oman has a rich history, some ruins and tombs are discovered in the area belongs to Haffet Period (2600-3200 BC). Ainee is one of the abandoned villages of this area.
The Intro video has many information and I am summarizing them into a few bullet points:
- Ainee Village Track
- Basic requirements for hiking
- Starting Fire Without Matches
= mixing potassium permanganate + glycerin + water
- Trekking Poles and its use
- Weight distribution in backpack
- Finding water in desert
= dig a hole, put grass/leaves, container, cover it with plastic

  • I love this video that you guys have created. I wish I could understand everything you were talking about. Gathered most of it, though. Is there a way I could get tag along on one of your easy hikes?
