I'm so glad to finally find someone who agrees with me about this film. I thought it was just pretty aweful. Aweful, contrived story and acting. You are right about people just like the "idea" of the character and story and it takes off. In addition, a lot of people don't have an opinion of their own. I really hated it- not oscar worthy.

I agree-Sandra Bullock is pretty overated,doesnt deserve an Oscar,not even a Golden Globe.
By the way-are you seeing Avatar soon-can't wait to hear your thoughts on,I've been so excited about seeing it, I am going skiing on the 18th,so i will somehow have to see it abroad(thats how I obsessed i am)

@irishfan7509 You mean what qualifications do I have? Uhh, I think everyone has an opinion about anything with movies and they are allowed to voice that opinion. I've also seen probably more movies than most I would say...and I also write for my college newspaper for film reviews. I think anyone can talk about movies! Everyone's got an opinion, right?
