How to make inexpensive easy to make natural air freshener & some reasons to consider switching to natural and/or homemade air fresheners.
-The tinted glass containers are used to preserve the quality and life of the oil. This is why I also use a tinted glass spray bottle.
-All oils should be kept away from direct sunlight in order to keep them at optimum quality.
-If you have pets and you are using HERBAL oils, make sure the herb is a pet friendly herb:

-Many people suffer from chemical sensitivity which can result in chemicals being a trigger for headaches, asthma attacks, respiratory irritations, eye irritations, skin irritations. This is a common reason for why people choose to switch over to natural air fresheners.
-Please use caution when using glass containers in sinks etc.
-Glass containers of any kind are not recommended in showers for any reason.

  • Oil and water does not mix.

  • @parisa6100 Yeah I know oil and water does not mix; an emulsifier is needed to combine the two into a cohesive solution. However, because I make small batches, and because I SHAKE the container before spraying, there is no problem at all with using water as a carrier for this oil.

  • @1ballerina You can SHAKE the solution as much as you want still won't mix, that is not the way .

  • @parisa6100 WRONG...again. SHAKING temporarily mixes the molecules sufficiently to blend them so that there is a solution to spray into the air to get the fragrance into the air. I have used it hundreds of times and I know that it works not only through logic and microscopic examination (I shake before each use), but I also know from personal experience. How many times have you tried it?...I am guessing you have tried it zero times otherwise you would know it works lol..

  • @1ballerina Not to mention the fact that essential oils are very different from say olive or vegetable oil. The essential oils that are added herbalists blends for healing are always in purified water. Essentials oils are added to teas. It isn't the acutal peppermint leaves, for instance, that flavor your drink but the oils. You are absolutely correct: Shaking is sufficient to get a good blend. Also speaking from experience.

  • @gypsylor Thank you, I totally agree :)

  • I have a favorite room freshener and cannot find it anymore - it was called Renuzit chrystals and the scent was Amber Vanilla - can anyone replicate that? I really am disappointed that I cannot find it anywhere.

  • CALIFORNIA IS REAL EXPENSIVE

  • @makaocloud Cool yeah you could use it that way, sage oil, cedar oil and also orange oil are all great choice :)

  • I think I'm definitely going to go this route. Now I'm a guy and I was wondering if I could use the cotton ball method to but inside my wardrobe to prevent odors on my clothes. I have a broken sense of smell and find it really difficult to know when something smells too strong or bad. I'm using these methods to make sure that when I have company over that it smells nice. Thanks for the video!
