Also, heavy metal is meant to make you feel empowered, independent, able to stand for yourself, which is the opposite of what the church teaches: humility, guilt, turning the other cheek, depending on God´s will for everything, etc. In many ways heavy metal is an artistic reaction against christian values. There is also "christian metal" bands out there, and THAT to me is impossible to understand. It just doesn´t sound right to sing about Jesus while you scream like you´re in hell lol
