I've been a Final Cut Editor for over 10 years... I've been trying to adapt to the new Final Cut Pro X for about a week now... If I can sum it up in one word, that word would be DISASTER.

I STRONGLY recommend staying away from FCP-X. If you have FCP-7, CONTINUE TO USE IT!!!!

@VideoTech21 still sucks... i've messed with the changes and still, it's crap. get final cut 7 or Adobe Premiere. Stay away from X

If you ask me,FCPX is great for prosumers. For me,it's perfect, but if you don't like it, that's your opinion, and I respect your opinion. If it works for you, then use it.

I was so surprised when i got Final Cut X. The first thing that literally came out of my mouth was "wow this looks a lot like imovie." I have used premier pro and final cut 7 before. i completely agree that this is a dumbed down version and a disappointment. I feel bad for real professionals that have to put up with this and switch from final cut to other programs just to keep up with technology.

@dandobi don't sell your stock just get rid of final cut pro X. haha i like final cut pro X for basic editing but i love final cut pro studio 3 better and its amazing for and as a pro editor i agree with you just be happy with final cut pro 7 if you have it.

i use PC and a basic Corel Editor(VSx4)because i'm trying to teach myself AfterEffects still, but i'm behind you. what they've done is completely stupid.
