That was a great film! But I still hate ww1, And I don't want to be in ANY kind of war at all. I can try my gun, yes, it's fine, but for months? YEARS?!?!?! NOOOO!!!

i love this so much. in the beggining he was drawing a bird in class. and the schoolmaster warnded him that he was a dreamer and dreaming was dangerous on the frontline. and the moment he trys to relive and dream he dies. this is truely an epic

@OurEvening Dude,shut the fuck up.The film made in 1930 has him die reaching for a butterfly and he is shot by a french sniper.In this version he gets captivated in the habits of his youth that he no longer will experience and is shot sketching a bird. Both movies stay true to the book and the story is nothing short of "heartwrenching". The book reads He fell in October 1918 on a day that was so quiet and still..... his face had an expression of calm as though almost glad the end had come.
