This is a simple description of things you should look for when buying an old motorcycle. The techniques are set up to educate the novice mechanic or new rider, and are universally applicable to all makes, models and years. Stay tuned for further how-to videos that explore this motorcycle more in depth as I begin to restore it.

  • @djcellx12 No prob man

  • so basically this bike is a piece of shit? lol

  • @shanley514 Not if you work on it yourself, this was really to help people who would need to take the bike to a mechanic for these types of repairs

  • Good video. I think that front tire should be in a museum! Check the the date of manufacture on tires, if they are too old they can be dangerous. Check the frame for crash damage in places like the bottom of the steering head which is a common area of damage. Are the bottom of the fork tubes showing damage from sliding down the road. Is the chain the correct type for the bike? Non O-Ring chain on a bike that uses one. Just a couple of things that I noticed on my last two purchases. Thanks
