the guy is actually choking himself with this defense. definitely not a good defense or even remotely close to being Krav Maga. and there is a garrote defense, but it is not Krav Maga and it is not what is represented here.

@chainofdefense LOL I love when experts come out of the woodwork. If you actually knew anything about Krav Maga you’d know it sticks to the original principals. You’d also recognize it’s a modified version of choke from behind with a pull. Good luck with your training and hopefully someday you’ll get to see some of the advanced material in case you ever need it.

@chainofdefense So I see you were certified by Boaz? Nice accomplishment. Jarrett’s rank came from Imi 1st dan, Eyal 2nd, and the 3rd and 4th by Darren. Mines by Darren in KM. I also have them in Kapap, Haganah and consider Nir and Amir good friends. My point is we both know a little something about Israeli reality based self defense. My apology for my earlier sarcasm, I admit I have become a bit jaded with internet trolls.

ive been taking muay thai , bjj , and wrestling for a few years now but only a few months of wrestling haha but if someone used a weapon against me i would beg for my life

if someone sinches up a wire around your neck before you notice them, good night, you are done.

this, as most krav maga drills, is kind of rediculous.

there is very little technique involved, just blind aggression, which may work, but isn't worth spending long hours training.

the underlying principle of krav maga seems to be to fight until you are dead, no matter the odds do not surrender.

there are better methods to instill an aggressively destructive spirit than running assed up drills.

@Mattube1983 Yes no one will ever try to choke you with a wire that's so unrealistic, why would anyone ever want to teach you this? Seriously though bud, shut the fuck up and even try to listen, he said it was a modified defence for rear chokes so even if he made it up it's a perfectly fine and valuable defence, made up or not part of all defensive Martial Arts is adaptability. So if he's being choked like this, and there's no defence for it in the books he's just let himself die?

Hello sir, I love these videos of self defense and I will learn this. I have two questions. 1) You seem physically fit and your clothes look fitted. How do you work out, what do you eat and what are some.exercises to get bigger bit STRONGER arms? 2) Are there any krav maga training centers in Philadelphia? If so where? If not, could you find out since you do this stuff and may know people in philly? Thank you.

@JofoTubin I think its possible as long as you are QUICK if he's using piano wire they would have cut through yur arteries (literally) in less than 3 seconds
