@artistenoire I tried the patch and at first everything was fantastic, but it wound up giving me a massive rash due to sensitive skin, haven't tried the nuva ring yet but its on my list of remaining options

I just don't feel the risk are work it, some of the side effects sound pretty bad, that and personally I'm just not comfortable with the idea of some thing inside me for that long bothers me, but I'm sure if it all goes as planed it must be pretty practical

@CoolBeanSquadron That's true, and that is why we're lucky to have such a wide array of birth control options. I feel the same way about depo provera shots because I only hear terrible things about them and I am not comfortable with having some hormones put into my body that won't leave for three months! I get what you mean, but I also like to give info that is as unbiased as possible.

@artistenoire I'm just getting frustrated with my options at the moment, nothing seems to fit with my life style except for the pill and it's just not working out for me

@CoolBeanSquadron Did you consider the patch or nuva ring? My favorite is the patch because it is something I only have to change once a week, and doesn't cause me to go crazy with hormones. I hope you find a method that is good for you and makes you happy, though. Sorry to hear you're frustrated.

@CoolBeanSquadron I've got three friends who love their IUDs, and I stress that. Many women love their IUD- just check out IUD Divas on livejournal. There's good and bad with every birth control method, and the IUD works great for some.
