McCulloch MCS2001 14-Amp Electric Chipper/Shredder. Purchased May 2009. Prospective buyers note: this is a very good chipper for what it is meant to do, but as of Dec 2009, replacement cutting blades are no longer available from McCulloch.... but the blades are not too difficult to remove and sharpen.

  • Maybe one day, someone, somewhere, will make a really good close-up video explaining exactly how to sharpen the blades of these machines. I hired one of these and they work well. I've got a smaller machine with a revolving flat blade a bit like a small lawnmower blade ( it's very good too) but it has to be kept sharp to be effective about a 20 degree angle. I've used an oil stone and grinder, watched loads of videos but still none show it right and I'm still not sure I'm doing it right.

  • Very well presented video.

  • Thanks for posting!

  • Am getting one of those
