A quick overview of Numfum's Opposite Lock. The game took 10 months to create (with one programmer and one artist) and features 10 cars, 10 tracks and four game modes. The multiplayer mode works with any mix of handsets. Download a demo (for PC, Mac or Linux) here:

http://www.numfum.com/games/ol/ol-demo.jnlp

The full version of the game should be available from your operator (if it's not, ask them why!).

The game's source code is available under a GPL license on Google Code:

  • YouTube doesn't let me add a link in the comments, that's why it's in the info box.

  • What Program Did You Use Eclips?

  • It was written using CodeWarrior initially but you can checkout an Eclipse project from the Google Code link in the info box on the right.

  • Holy crap, you (or you guys?) really went all out on this. I'm downloading the trial from MobileRated right now.

  • Hi! You can download the full version from the links in the info box (I made it freely available). If you can't get it to work, let me know what phone you have.

  • bigredswitch, i LOVE this game and have the demo of it on my HTC phone.

No matter how much i've looked i can't find a full version of this game anywhere. Even on forums and pay for sites.

Can you help me get my hands on a full copy please?

    thanks man!

  • Hi! You can now download the full versions from the Google Code page (the link is in the info box on the right).

For your HTC (and if the demo ran at a decent speed for you) choose the 6630/K750 version. Hope you enjoy!

  • yea a direct link for our lazy asses. i'm so impressed with the bluetooth networking. what I like about J2me is it brings back gameplay to the forefront like back in the days of 16 console gaming.

  • post link were to get!!!! the program to make

  • Looks Very Well Done I Am Soooo Impressed By The Bluetooth Multiplay Part I COmmend You Highly Not That I Matter

  • My phone (a Samsung SGH-T639) is currently offline because I haven't been able to pay the bill in a while. I've just been using it as a music player or casual gaming (for when I'm in a waiting room or something). If I can't install it from my phone, then I won't be able to get it until I get my phone online again. I don't have a data cable, only a memory card. I can't seem to find a way to get it to work.
