Ander Crenshaw represents Floridas Fourth Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives. Currently in his fifth term representing a district that stretches from Jacksonville to Tallahassee, Crenshaw is a member of the House Appropriations Committee.
Prior to coming to Congress, Crenshaw worked both in the private sector, as an investment banker, and served as an elected official in the State Legislature. His life in public service ultimately led to the Florida State Senate where he served as the states first Republican President of the Senate. Representative Crenshaw was first elected to Congress in 2000.
Originally a member of the House Armed Services Committee, Crenshaw is now a member of the prestigious Appropriations Committee where he serves on the Military Construction and Veterans Affairs, the State and Foreign Operations, and the Financial Services and General Government Subcommittees. Additionally, he holds a seat on the Republican Leadership Whip Team as a Deputy Minority Whip. Representative Crenshaw has gained a reputation for being a strong advocate for strengthening and rebuilding our military, enacting responsible and permanent tax relief, and standing up for projects vital to Northeast Florida.
