i thought dogs that did that were abused too until i adopted a dog that did that when i came home. never laid a finger on my dog and she smiles when i first walk in through the door.

yeah my dog smiles so big too when i come home from work, he runs around chasing his tail alot and then i pick him up to see his wonderful smiles :)

@MrsCrazyette Really?? My cat always fallows me around the house and stays with me when I'm working or watching tv, etc. When it's very early in the morning, he comes to sleep right next to me (this is a really nice way to wake up and start the day ^^) and everytime I come home, I'm not sure if he actually greets me like a dog, but he comes at the door and asks me to hold him (he gets up on his feet and try to reach my arms, so I guess he aks me to hold him). He's so loving and lovable ^^

Just so you all know I have never laid a hand on my dog. He lives the perfect life. He was properly kennel trained and is probably the most well adjusted dog ive ever seen.
