Want to become a cartoon? Today we will learn the art of converting a regular portrait into a magnificent GTA-like image. The "San-Andreas" font comes with windows so there is no need for any downloads in this tutorial unless of course, you want to download Photoshop CS5.

If so, go to our website: http://www.photoshopdudes.ca/

and on our downloads page you can find it FREE!

  • Good tut. Only thing that bothers me is when you redraw the lines why use the paintbrush? Its entirely too inconsistent. Using the pen tool would have been much easier and wouldve looked much cleaner.

  • @803ClarkKent It's my pic, and i like the paintbrush tool. Besides, it was just for a small area, and you can barely notice it when the image is zoomed out. If it had been a larger area, I would've used the pen tool.

  • Hey, when I use the stamp filter, the face turns black and hair and facial hair etc turn white. Pretty much the other way around of the effect needed. Any guess why does it happen?

  • @dudeableful You're having this problem because you didn't set your foreground to black and background to white. Hope that helps :)

  • I have CS4, can I get this effect?

  • @fxgamer0809 Instead of downloading by torrent, you can get it from our website, it's on the downloads page. (I mean CS5)

  • Mumbling does not make a good tutorial.

  • All these people with a problem about how HE did HIS tutorial either click another one or go make your own the way YOU want to. He took time to try to show you people something for FREE. You people act like someone made you watch this or you had to pay for it. If you know better, go make your own tutorial...or better yet...if you know Photoshop so well, why are you watching tutorials anyway??? People are so ungrateful, I swear...

  • A lot of good work. But there are 3 things you missed...

    The gap in his teeth...

The white uncolored area in his glasses frame left over from the initial filter conversion

Stopping the music in the background would be a big plus...

  • 4:42 should of left it as a bandana aha

  • Lazy Tutorial.

  • @xCuteCupcakes You can adjust the size of the lines at the top.

  • Doesn't work on my cs3. it is different

  • turn the danged music off and take your time speaking. for goodness sake as if it isn't hard enough to keep up when someone isn't narrating like that. take a deep breath!

  • Hey man you've got a nice video but i am facing a problem with my level of detail in the stamp filter, I mean when i use the filter i get a image which has a very less amount of detail in it. I have also tried it with hi reso images but it doesn't works at all....i am just not satisfied with the level of detail in it so i hope you understand.... b/w i am using PS CS5 white rabbit !
