First time pulling with chains. Everything felt strong and explosive today. Probably going to try 775+50 in chains next deadlift workout.

  • Do the chains really help that much? To me it just looks like most of the tension would be added from the chains at the standing point of the deadlift

lol i have no idea, this was my first time using them on the pulls just thought it'd switch it up and try something different. As soon as the bar leaves the floor there's extra weight being added throughout the entire lift with it being pretty much full weight of the chains at the very top. I figure 750 off the floor, about 775 mid way and 800 at the top, 25lbs of chains each side. I'm going to train with them for a few more weeks and then go back to just straight weight.

  • Hey eric, I need to know whether you change your grip when you do PR's or 1 rep maxes. I mean each set do you alternate grip? thanks.

  • Congrats on the special mention in last month's Power Magazine.

  • Eric do u do any direct front delt work or just uprights and benches? Your front delts are like abnormally huge lol trying to get that way

  • impressive

  • Chains make everything 10x better haha

  • God forbid you ever use the Westside method.

  • @Ericlilliebridge yeah that would be my guess on how it feels it'd be interesting to see the carry over when your done. I guess to sum it all up just stay healthy and keep training. Btw What's your best pull?
