I estimate that I have about 1/4 pound of worms in my bucket. I don't really know. I'm just guessing. There's some leftover macopa from my feeding last week. Just for fun, I'm trying to see what will happen if I feed very heavily (about 1-2 pounds). I don't usually do that. The container had some banana peels, banana leaves, pear peels, pomelo peels and of course some melon rinds. Will my African Nightcrawlers vermicompost successfully or with they suffer from over feeding? Find out next week!

  • I try to do my part.

I ended this experiment prematurely. The results were disastrous! Don't overfeed worms!

  • I just harvested some vermicompost from the first worm bin I made. I do like the ideal of all the wast not going into the trash can but into my worm systems. Your doing a great job.
