  • didn't work for me :/

  • You will find kick starting a 4 stroke engine harder than a 2 stroke. The video above shows a 2 stroke 50cc. The technique is the same for a 4 stroke but b sure to pump the kick start lever until you feel resistance, this means there is enough compression to kick start the bike.

  • @urbanrider51 Thanks a million, have 4 stroke, minus 3 today here and after pushing it all the way home and put it in the garage, i watched this, tried was hard but worked, now reading your comment above I know why, thank you (a scooter hero)

  • Excellent video, I bought a scooter over the weekend it was meant to be a non runner as it had no battery and the owner wasn't sure it would start so I watched your vid and put some fuel in it few twist on the throttle and a good kick and she started just gonna service her and she should be on the road in a couple of weeks! Your vid is quality!

  • DUDE YOU"RE SO COOL URBANRIDER!

  • wow u are cute, hot accent too. i just learned how to kick start my scooter. For some reason its easier for me to use the opposite leg to kick start it. great video, I know its a simple concept but some dont know how to do it as they usually dont show you this when you buy it. i had to go back to where i bought it to ask them how to kick start it (didnt know about this video then) :p

  • some scooters, like my generic comp, need the back brake to be held in. it's a safety mechanism and won't start if the back brake isn't in. if your kickstart won't work it might be because of this - just a thought

  • omg man. 6300 peoples cant kick start the scooter? lol

what is so hard in this? rofl hahaha

(sry 4 my english, but in this shit world i must write everything in english -.-)

  • .... wow if you cant kick start then dont get a bike or a scooter hahaha i only kick start saves on the batt and is fun

  • what store is that? is there a website? in the usa by the way

  • @petikes hahahahaha

  • well i couldnt start it with the kickstart but it def warmed up the engine to starting... after a few back and forths it started normally but it still stalls often since i let it sit in the cold for 2 weeks... you're a lifesaver =)

  • Hi, thanks for the video, it's very useful, now I can kickstart my scooter anytime, before this, I didn't really know, how to do it.

  • i found out how to do it ;)

  • thanks! we got our scooter about 2 months ago and were wondering how to use it. exactly what i was looking for.

  • so if i understand right dont push anything but the starter, my scooter wont go on with kicksstarter, ive got a yamaha a bit older version but you need to kick all the way down and hard?

  • Really helpful! Got my scooter yesterday and didnt have a clue about how to do this. Now im a pro!!! lol Thank you. :-)
