  • Thanks for the video! Here in beautiful "New" Jersey, I am reading a very interesting book about the Spy adventures of MI5 & MI6 during the cold war - and it is really interesting to actually see a Minox in action.

  • @HuckleDad You're welcome, i'm glad you found it interesting. I'm thinking of digging mine out again and shooting some reels through it, not done anything with film for a while now and I love the images you get from these, theres something old world charming about them.

  • i just came across this camera Minox B and i don't know how to change the film for it, also i wanted to know if the box comes with the flashgun or did that have to be sold separately?

  • @MrsKojak1981 See my other videos for a loading and unloading film one.

Flashguns were a seperate item, some boxes will have cutouts for them and this can be for one of two reasons, it was a gift set containing everything, or, dependant on the retailer was the only packaging available but had the cutouts for future accessory purchases.

  • if you have the genuine minox daylight development tank, developing a minox film becomes much much easier. Not that rare or expensive, either.

  • @kumasan1969 More than easy enough to modify a Jobo reel to use in a standard Jobo tank, uses less dev fluid and the Jobo tanks are far more plentiful, much cheaper and not made of bakelite hence less brittle.

Nice to have a Jobo tank as a collectors item but no great benefit of developing submini film in it.

  • the first minox was made in Latvia, Riga

  • @x1starwarsrocks1x Latvians invented MINOX Camera, not Estonians. Latvians had workshop in Estonia and it was created there

  • I have one of the the first one made in 1937 and I want to sell it . Do you know of anyone who want to buy one its very rare . If so please email me at Artoforo@aol.com

  • Created by Valters Caps

  • Estonians invented minox, the inventor was Walter Zapp.

  • :) but the minox tank is in line with the art of minimalism.

I should have invested on Jobo system, color processing in my Nikor-type stainless tanks is pain in the neck. :(
