My 1200 cc does not have those little washers that the valve spring sits on....I put the valves in last night...(3 angle cut, lapped, cleaned, assembled).

@UblastmanU He is checking the cylinder head volume, which is critical measurement used in determining compression ratio. Stock VW cylinder head volume is normally about 51cc.
