It's just madness...the American mainstream media...
When I was in school, we used to talk about what are parents went through to stamp out 'communism' in the McCarthy era.
We would envision a world behind the 'iron curtain' where there television news was very controlled and censored...
We would imagine that those poor people had to smuggle Coca Cola & Levi's and 'real news' about what's really going on in the world.
Cause there government sure wasn't going to tell 'em.

My how times have changed.

Lets roll ahead some 25 years.

A world controlled by corporations for corporations.
America is a country that is run & controlled by corporations. If you think differently...pray do tell.

The Republican & Democrat conventions are definitely corporate sponsored and controlled events. (right down to the carefully crafted speeches)
Have you seen the corporate logos all over the sponsorship of both parties.
What does that tell you about the difference between left and right.

AT&T - COMCAST - GE - Ford - Rockefeller Foundation - etc...

Funny at the top of the list is AT&T with the other telecommunications giants...oh yeah didn't they just get immunity for spying on American citizens and permission to keep it up...
hence the FISA bill.
Yes they're displaying there corporate logos ever so proudly at these conventions as we unite and rally behind our presidential hopefuls...

Sheeple will be sheeple...if the name fits......

Marketing, in its modern version, has become "eye candy". It is a well crafted science.
It is precise...meticulous...exacting...thorough...

And for what purpose?
To what end?
If a man is to be judged not on his words...but from his actions...then what does this tell us about todays 'modern corporations'.

The internet...'world wide web'...'the information highway'...
What a gift this has been. Truly. To the common citizen.
It is so important for knowledge and ideas to flow freely...outside the perimeters of control.
Even for those with a narrow view of history should be able to understand that progress "can't happen" under a controlled environment.

What kind of images do these words conjure up in your mind...words such as 'control', 'power', 'socialism', 'globalism',...

The internet has also given us access to information. Information about people. The people who are in control.
This is one thing about 'computer science'...the fact that it is 'precise' and 'meticulous' can work in our favor as well.
We can use the internet to research long lost newspaper articles...and we can witness 'newscasts' that happened on historic days such as 9/11...

We can review history and find the 1st reports that came out of world catastrophe's before the 'cover ups' started to take form.

The strongest evidence in every 9/11 documentary that I have ever seen is the 'mainstream news coverage' taking place within the 1st 24-48 hours.
(funny the major networks won't provide them)
We should thank every person who recorded these news events...and posted them, and reposted them in documentaries and films....and music videos etc...
So that we can be constantly reminded of these tragedies and how are leaders responded to them.
Katrina, 9/11, Oklahoma City, WMD's, Patriot Act, CIA involvement in 1st WTC bombing, Pat Tillman...the shameful list goes on and on and on..

Now....why do you think that were seeing a very heavy corporate presence on the internet.
Let us ponder this for awhile.
