My opinion; our English school is better. And LOL - the cockney accent came out really good. Ps: Please, do NOT say cheerio EVER again.

I think it depends where you live in England, I was born in london and my primary school was age 4-11 but then I moved to the Isle of Wight and my primary school was age 3(included nursery) -9, middle school was 9-13 and high was 13-16 with optional sixth form 16-18! however collage is optional so you can just go straight into work after school!!!
America:
3-4: Pre-school (optional)
5-:Kindergarden
6-12: Elementary
12-13: Middle School
14-18: High School
18 and beyond: College or University (optional)
Every school day MUST be 6-8 hours through Monday and Friday. Also, a college is different from a Univeristy. A University is more elite over a college; just like an Academy is elite over a school.
Also, Alcohol is banned on University and college properties; the students sneak it..if they want to drink.

American High School Analogies:
High School: 14-18
14- Ninth Grade: Junior
15- Tenth Grade: Sophmore
16- Eleventh Grade: Freshmann
17 or 18 (depending on the persons birthdate)- Twelth Grade: Senior
Many of American School Acronyms are German. For instance...Kindergarden (age 5)..and Freshmann (grade 16, grade 11).
