I'm not sure who sang it first but there are a whole bunch of people who have covered it.

you can youtube it and find it. It's not the Japanese women though...I was a bit confused when I saw that video. I tried to find out who sang but no luck. It starts out as "I'm forgiven because you were forsaken. I'm accepted, you were condemned. I'm alive and well your spirit is within me because you died and rose again"
