The title confuses me. We have never had a democracy in this country to begin with so how can we destroy it? Unless you mean we're going out and dissolving democracy elsewhere in which case I applaud our leaders.

Democracy? This country is a Republic... our founding fathers tried to stay away from democracy. Now we do have a representative democracy; where we vote in our representatives through democratic ways. It's kind of like how we allow our children to vote on some things, but when it is all said and done, we are still the ones who make the finally decision. Their vote is meaningless. Our country has turn into a oligarchy, not really even a republic anymore.

America is a republic. Democracy destroys this.

aren't republics run (for lack of a better word) through the democratic process?
so...isn't it a bit shortsighted to say that democracy is the problem?

I agree that the National Initiative will help, but it still works with this system but ads a fourth checks and balance. Cheney & Bush could have been stopped before they got started.

America is NOT a democracy and videos like this are actually dangerous. America is (or at least is supposed to be) a republic. Democracy is the problem, not the solution. Now go watch shanedk's lecture on the constitution regarding democracy vs republic.

I'm a little confused on how he called it a documentary to help states get on the ballot in all his canned speeches. Just a downer video, as far as I can see.

I wish people would QUIT REFERRING TO THE U.S. as a democracy. This is not a democracy, it never has been and never will be. Government by the masses doesn't work (democracy) which is why we are a Constitutional Republic. The Pledge of Allegiance doesn't say, "And to the Democracy for which is stands.." Every time I hear democracy associated with America I get a bad taste in my mouth and a little nauseated. Great video overall though.

In truth most Americans are not aware there is no constitutional right to vote in a Federal Election. The Constitution only guarantees the right to vote in State Elections. The Supreme Court ruled on this after the 2002 election fiasco in Fla.

great video
this is so bogus
I went to the Alabama LP convention and some the stories I heard about ballot access were horrifying.
I think is one of the big reasons we need the NI4D to go around the corrupt two-party system.
This is a brilliant video.
Great job.
Please make more!
