Hi :)
For this song, 'Michi' (Road), I had copied and pasted Robert Frost's "The Road Not Taken" because this song reminds me of it. Choices, choices, choices. When we make one, or DON'T make one.. it has the same effects.. it changes lives.
。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。
Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;
Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there,
Had worn them really about the same
And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.
I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference !
-- Robert Frost (18741963)

This poem is about taking the non-mainstream path. However, the ending is very ambiguous, and you can't really tell if the difference is good or bad. If the writer/narator was sighing with contentment, or disappointment. This is deliberate, because, in life, the choice can bring either a good or a bad outcome.
So the sigh after choosing the "road less traveled" is not necessarily a good one. Another thing that a lot of people miss. This is more about the inevitability of regret in our lives. Do not get swept up by all those who say this is applauding the person who is brave enough to take the "dangerous road." That sigh is more likely one of regret...
To sum up in one sentence, it is about someone reflecting on the consequences (either good or bad) that were determined by a single choice.
How many times in life have we thought, "Did I take the right path?" "Did I make a right choice?" "Where is my road leading me to?" "Am I always happy with the decision I make?" "Where is my pot of gold now that I am here, at the end of the rainbow?"
And how many times, you have had to wait for a long, long time and you have had to try and drag things to work in your way?
How many times things just doesn't work for you?...
Thank you for coming by today. Please take care and may you find Peace in your heart.
As always

Michikosan-ah,
What's the name of the singer in WinterSonata,
who sings like this, very strongly but with restraint/
suppression, as though holding back tears?

Anyway, the singer's name is Ryu Si Won, and his CD, 'Ryu best ~ Ryuism' is so, so, sooo good! It has all the W.S sound tracks in it. Wikipedia him, James-san.. there is a little bit more to him than what we actually see..

Hello Michiko-san,
The video is very beautiful.
I am trying to learn not to regret the past, nor shut the door on it. My past has led me to where I am today and I try to focus on living one day at a time.
Thanks again for your sharing.

Hi, Jaimie-san.. thank YOU for sharing your wisdom with me! And thank you also for taking the time to come by today, I appreciate it!
You're right, the past and the present are US.. we can't run away from them, nor can we ignore them. Living one day at a time is aldo something that I am doing, too!
Please do have a nice rest-of-the-week!
