I spent quite some time on this but Jenny Was a Friend of Mine, Where is She, and Midnight Show are all part of a "Murder Trilogy". If you listen to the lyrics for all three, you can notice they're all about a boyfriend committing murder to a girlfriend, denying it, (Jenny Was a Friend of Mine), the parents find out, (Where is She), then the murder, (Midnight Show). Think about it.
