In the fall of 2009, we planted 20 acres of organic wheat on our family farm in New Haven, Vermont. The wheat was a huge success and we will be able to use this homegrown, organic wheat to supplement wheat from outside sources. This helps lower our dependence on off-the-farm ingredients. We plan to grow more wheat again next year, plus other ingredients like organic garlic. We are so fortunate to be able to produce our award-winning croutons from start to finish, here on our VT farm!
