How would running their site with ads ruin it exactly? Only if they whore out to the ads and give them good reviews in exchange for money is it "ruining the site". No, what I'm saying is that paying five dollars a month for hardly anything in return is bullshit. What do you get if you pay five dollars? You get to see a few of their videos live, and a few of their hundreds of videos the public doesn't get to see, wow, I'm getting my money's worth there!

@MrNeoshredder Well, how else are they gonna run all their servers, pay salaries, buy expensive camera equipment etc? You've got to realize that it costs them a lot of money to keep the site running. Instead of ruining their site with ads, they've chosen to let the dedicated fans pay if they want a few premium features. As I said, you get most of the content for free. The podcast is free. The reviews are free. The quick looks are free. I can't really see how this is "stealing from the fans".

As far as I'm concerned, that's still stealing money from their fans. People are bitching about AVGN e-begging, unaware these guys have been doing it for much, much longer. Plus, it doesn't even make sense, AVGN is making a fucking movie, Giantbomb has a site where all they do is write reviews and film themselves playing video games, why do they need money donated to them to do that?

@MrNeoshredder And although I'm aware that not all reviewers are fair, and that some are "bribed" by publishers to give a game a certain score, I'm still 100 % sure that I can trust the guys at Giant Bomb. Have you even heard Jeff's background story for example? He was fucking fired from GameSpot, just because he stood up and didn't want to be a part of the corruption.

Giant Bomb have all the right to make money, it's their job after all. And you can still access most of the stuff for free.

@MrNeoshredder Could you calm down with your conspiracy theories for one second, and actually give some valid arguments on why this game is so bad? I was also very skeptical of MW3, and while it doesn't change much from MW2 I can't really deny that it's a really well-functioning game with fun and addictive multiplayer. Jeff just spent 8-9 minutes explaining why this game is a 4 out of 5, so of course I'm gonna trust him more than some random who says "WARBLE WARBLE THIS GAME SUCKS"

As much as I hate CoD, this review seemed pretty fair.
