Art critic Alastair Sooke sets out to discover why Andy Warhol, the king of Pop Art is considered so great and how he still influences our lives today. On his journey he parties with Dennis Hopper, has a brush with Carla Bruni and gets to grips with Marilyn Monroe. Along the way he uncovers just how brilliantly Andy Warhol pinpointed and portrayed our obsessions with consumerism, celebrity and the media, and then went on to re-invent them.

  • I'm not too fond on his work, but I thought I'd like to learn more about him. Thanks for uploading! Very interesting! I must admit that the Marilyn Monroe popart has for some reason always intrigued me and I wanted a pic of it on my wall! I still sorta do. I just like the vibrance and colours of it I guess. I though I'd check this out as it was suggested from a a dead famous video of him.

  • totally agree patrick. this presenter is just a kiss arse

  • @PatrickHumphreys The BBC might have asked him to narrate as if he were speaking to the layman.
