Clip from the movie 300 starring Gerard Butler Earth and Water Or Freedom or Death, this is Sparta. Shortly after this clip rolls, notice the Spartan counselman escorting the messenger. This indicates that the counselman has already made an agreement. The Persian messenger, on behalf of The God King, Xergxes, meets with King of Sparta, Leonidas.
Watch the messenger as he bows while smiling like a fairy, then Leonida puts him in check by telling him "b4 u speak, no that a even a messenger is held account for his words", and punks jump up to beat down"....
...Lmao... lol.
Also, win the messenger bows and says "earth & water", the king and queen look like "WTF??"
After the Queen and the messenger got heatd up, Leonidas suggests taking a walk and to let their tounges cool. The messenger, insisting on using a hot tounge, picked up rite freaky ware he left off at, and got worse, even. He got rite back on that submittion crap and that same earth and water bs (brontosaurus shtt).
The message is Xergxes requirement of Spartas' offering of earth and water as a token of submission. I figure earth and water is a coy use of terms meaning land and whateva else land is not.
Also, notice the patient, considerate thoughts of Leonidas b4 refusing to offer submission, then, kicks the messenger into the deep hole.
