Glenn Ford was not only a suberb actor, but as fine a man as you could mention. He came from a time when Hollywood stars were patriots and weren't shy about saying so. Ford served in the active/reserve military from the WWII era through Vietnam, volunterring for duty well past the age most men have gotten away from such things. To this day, whenever I see Ford as Ray Spruance in "Midway," I think of my late father, who looked very much like Ford and was also a navy man. RIP, Mr. Ford...

@basilnelson HI There. Did you know that Peter Ford (Glenn's Son is Signing his Book at the Egyptian Theatre on Hollywood Boulevard on Saturday Evening April 16th. There will also be some of Glenn's Co Stars and friends for people to meet. Should be a great night. Sadly, I will not be there, as I am in Australia.
But hopefully, my son will be there. Try to get along if you are on the west coast of USA.
