A new era for the United States and Russia?

The head of NATO has announced that the United States, Russia and NATO should link their missile defense systems together to defend themselves from potential threats. Many officials are saying this is a new era for U.S. and Russian relations, but how much will really change?

Israel is calling for war on Iran and since Iran borders Russia, any fallout from a destroyed nuclear reactor would have devastating consequences on the entire region. Would Russia stand down if Israel attacks? Would Russia use their own missile shield to stop Israel?

Obama is talking about a joint US, Russia, NATO missile shield. So, who will control this new combined defense shield that is being proposed?

You are wrong. Obama wants to destroy america.He want's a world union,so he can rule the world.I have 2 Russian friends. I think if more Russians got to know some Americans,they would not hate us. The majority of people worldwide,do not hate other countries.Most people do not like what the leaders of some countries do ,to inslave their citizens.I also have some very dear friends in Germany.Hatred is a terrible thing.Obama has put in place a way to rule the world.Most Americans are not aware.Sad.

No doubt it's all geopolitical, and not just on American part. I am saying that as long as the countries are willing to talk, to compromise the humanity will move to the right direction. Also, there is some very vocal jornalism around, motivated by their sells, they are the ones wagging ideological wars. Just treat them as some kind of mosquitos.

Garbage, he's not trying to be "pragmatic" the godfather of Obama's foreign policy is Zbig Brzezinski a total empirialist. Look at what they did in Georgia and now in Iran. I think he is trying to be pragmatic, which good, he is not totaly anti-anything. May be one day he'll realise that arming Georgia is very dangerous, but more likely he thinks Georgia is under his control. And he is desperate to have more troops in Afganistan.
