  • what (-)pitch did u set on yr throttle hold? tq

  • @puterinuraleya I think he was using negative 10deg.

  • I was wondering if your blades are pretty tight in the grips, I had a autorot in my 450 and when I went to full - my blades closed together and you can guess what happenend.

  • I dont think Jake has them overly tight. Tight enough so when you pick up the heli on its side, the blades dont fold. But if you shake the heli hard enough, the blades should fold.

  • Jake can auto 30 times in a row without any problems.

Best way to learn is basics first ie. orientations, landings in different directions and fast landings in Idle-Up. Jake uses carbon blades. Jake's head spins approx 15-20 revs when on the ground at zero pitch and cutting the motor from Idle-Up head speed. Main trick is to charge your blades with FULL -ive when coming down. And then knowing when the transition is from -ive to +ive at the bottom of the Auto.

  • nice auto.. may i know which gyro you are using? torque-tube or belt driven? tail is pretty stable. can hold even with sudden lost or burst of head speed..

  • absolutely amazing

  • I just love this clip all the way from Austrailia. I can hear the exotic birds in the background. Notice real blue skies. Please forgive me, I'm from Los Angeles and I can't remember when our skies were that blue. Cheers

  • Amazing Autos! Well done. Total pro. What negative pitch are you using when you say to put it in full -ive? 12 degrees?

  • gotta love the sound as it comes down..

might i ask how much -ve does he put on the pitch curve bottom?

  • Can you talk me through the collective stages? where abouts is it for the entry, glide, and flare? I can do autos quite nicely but sometimes not with the grace of this, but i seem to experiment with the collective! Reason for this is im a helipilot when we auto we are holding positive pitch and they stil overspeed in flare, so where is it best for an rc heli? little bit positive or in the negative? cheers!
