Donegal Narrow Gauge Diesel at RPSI Whitehead Northern Ireland. This is the newest and the shortest narrow gauge railway in Ireland with some 40 yards of track which was specially laid for testing 3 foot narrow gauge locomotives after repair or renovation. Driver Francis Richards looks well please with his efforts despite the rain. The Ruston locomotive belongs to the Donegal Railway and is believed to have a replacement engine. The smoking ban is obviously not in force today.
I have a silly question ? Was this built by Ruston bucyrus the makers of digger shovels ? I noticed the ruston emblem on front and it reminded me that ruston built all sorts on neat things back in the day. Thank you for any help...
