The new digital millennium has been a nightmare for copyright holders - especially the entertainment industry who claims to have lost billions due to online infringement. The reaction - the MPAA and RIAA have sued everyone in sight, and Viacom even sued YouTube. However, many question whether litigation is the right answer. Indeed with new websites like Hulu, Grooveshark, and FreeAllMusic the entertainment industry seems poised to take a different tack. Who will win the battle for 21st century media?
