This is defiantly a 4 speed auto gearbox with sport feature taking the revs to exactly 6k before change. I know it like the back of my hand, and no the the economy needle doesn't stay on 0 when you floor it, it will move. The automatic transmission module in the e30 is directly linked with the ECU, it manages how the engine revs also. Very different from a manual e30.

@proline1240 cool i didnt know, it just seems slow and too smooth. i hope i can drive like this too then someday, ive only had a week with my clutch so far, im doing ok, but im still pretty slow with it.

@LtColQwerty We have a BMW and I can also drive like this guy with "constant acceleration". You only have to know your clutch very well. If it was an automatic the fuel economy gauge wouldn't have moved like it did, it would stay constant. Every time he releases the accelerator it goes down...

@proline1240 but yet it is, because there is constant acceleration throughout the gear switch, either this guy knows how to drive and is also riding the clutch, meaning he cant drive, or its automatic, more likely its automatic on sport mode.

sounds like a tractor :) not a e30 hater, have 1 built 3.1 stroker, WAY faster than this, still love the vid though
