Improvisation for piano and monome. I'm using a hand-built arc prototype, generously on loan from tehn, who is very busy building and shipping monomes, dealing with the transition to serialosc required by the new edition and finalizing the arc firmware. I'm sure he'd prefer to be playing with the arc himself.

hardware: monome arc (the knobs) monome 64 (grid)
software: grainstorm

more information about the monome can be found at http://monome.org

  • I really like this & love the generousity of sharing your creativitity and experience with others. I am hoping to start experimenting with the monome soon (once I get a 64 to start with) thanks for all your videos. Oh, another reason I like this, you uploaded it on my 50th birthday last year, a wonderful sonic birthday present! Cheers!

  • I think it's required to be lanky in order to correctly use a Monome.

  • Wow, this is beautiful.

  • now this i couldn't do in ableton.

  • So not only does one need to be a musician, but they also need to be a computer programmer as well. lol

  • uuuummmmm nnniiiccceeee :0)

  • It sounds like a dream. I want to learn to build something like that.

  • Your Music has inspired me beyond my ability to thank. I am a live musician on a personal quest to discover what is possible to present ilve to an audience without relying on pre-recorded material or other people. My personal setup is all hardware as I choose not to use computers in my music creation, but I can see talant in what you and others do using them so a big big thanks for the inspiration.
