Debris flew into the grandstands at a monster truck show in Washington state Friday, killing a 6-year-old boy and injuring another spectator, witnesses and city officials said. (Jan. 18)

How could the officials know this AFTER the event? The police, paramedics, and the body stretcher wasn't enough of an indication that somebody was seriously hurt or dead? How about all spectators that saw this child die instantly and the commotion it caused?
I understand that they might have not been at the event physically, but the person in charge of the event was there and he could talk to the "officials" when an emergency happens. They deserve the same.
