White Heat is often thought of as one of the best film noirs of all time. A huge part of what makes this movie so great is James Cagney's superb performance as Cody Jarrett.

This psychopathic character is what really sets the film apart from the numerous good but standard gangster noirs of the 40's and 50's.

This is a tribute compilation of some of Jarrett's best quotes and moments set to Surf Rider by The Lively Ones and Tank! by The Seatbelts. Enjoy.

  • I think the music fits the show pretty well sounds pretty suspenseful maybe u don`t like it cause it`s not any music from the 40`s

  • Thank you :)

  • Awesome video, loved it!

  • Thanks :)

  • Ha, ha... I almost started griping about the absence of the "give ya a little air!" scene, and then you snuck it in, at the end. Very nice.

    Great video!

  • :D Thank you very much! That's one of my favorite scenes :)

  • I wish the music wasn't added

  • Love this, does anyone know the name of the movie which starred James Cagney as a mobster, who after receiving plastic surgery straps the doctor into a wheelchair and pushes him down a flight of stairs.

  • @ManardGCrebs It based on the original Scarface circa 1932.Paul Muni's character looks out his window to see a lighted sign that says ''the world is yours'',advertising a travel agency.

  • CODY RULES!!!!!!!!!

  • @imaRoLLingStonzFan it's a great collection of clips but the music is a dreadful choice , why would I want to listen to early 60's Rock'n'Roll while watching a 1940's gangster movie ?!!

  • Music ruins the video. Has nothing to do with film noir feel, nor with Cagney.. Makes the thing unwatchable. Otherwise a great clip..

  • By 6:12 I was gonna call this clip Bullshit for not having the "need some air" scene. Thanks for proving me wrong.

That scene is arguably the best scene in this film besides the "Top of the World" scene and Jarett finding out his mom's dead.

  • Truthfully we all wished that Fallon would have gotten his.

  • This movie should be re realeased to all the big screens across the country.

  • "We're back in business boys. And not Big Ed's way,and not for fifty grand."
