The default fireball from Houdini 10. The hi-res simulation was done with a 350 subdivisions grid. Rendered with a single light and Scattering.

  • How did you render out velocity data? So far my only method to get images out for velocity has been flipbooking it.

  • Thats the way i did it, its a flipbook sequence, rendering it may be a litte more tricky by using the velocity data to draw those color vectors.

  • @Leixington very long. probably 3 to 4 hours per frame.( i'm not kidding)

    with a quad core.

    mantra is slow :(

  • Amazing Pyros. What is the name of the song you used ? It's really appealing.

  • O, okay.

Yea, it's got to be possible, I just have no idea on how to do it.

  • I gotta say, this is pretty intense. My team is sticking to Blender 3D right now, and we love it and all, but my personal favorite is Houdini 3D.

Thanks for the inspiring post friend.
