Chicago - Michigan Street Drummers

I visited the Art Institute yesterday, and out in front, in 15 degree weather, was this quartet of drummers. Yes, using plastic buckets. They were very good, and did some amazing African rhythms. I gave them some money. LOL!

Thanks, I thought so too. What makes it more impressive is that it was 15 degrees F outside when that was taken. Brrr... Of the 4, one would start and another stop, etc., but they kept the music going in perfect rhythm. I only caught a piece of it in the video, it was quite amazing.

I was just curious cuz i havent been to Boston and I wanted to know if they were dominating Chicago. I thought chi wa pretty good too. Theres a dude in NY, Larry Wright, that plays buckets in the subway station. check him out.

it depends what you like if you like a person by their self or a big cool group the one person is playing with like pots pans metal and buckets. i think chicago has a great bucket style.
