The Employee Free Choice Act (EFCA) is proposed legislation in the United States which aims to "amend the National Labor Relations Act to establish an easier system to enable employees to form, join, or assist labor organizations, to provide for mandatory injunctions for unfair labor practices during organizing efforts, and for other purposes." Under current U.S. labor law, the National Labor Relations Board will certify a union as the exclusive representative of bargaining unit employees by card check process or secret ballot election, which is held if more than 30% of employees in a bargaining unit sign statements asking for representation by a union. If enacted, EFCA would require the NLRB to certify a bargaining representative without directing an election if a majority of the bargaining unit employees signed cards, the card check process.

  • I do apologize for the name calling, That got out of hand, But check out the Unions in Europe before name calling, I dont preach! I was making a comment on how unions come had there beginnings.

If unions are so powerful today! Why are they allowing $30 dollar per jobs drop to $14 dollars, an Hr,

And you wrote paper on unions, I hope you checked your spelling and the punctuations? Like the I or Capitals, or how about? These words! dont, youre, theyre, thats, stuff, isnt, ridiculous

  • youre an idiot, i just wrote a paper on the unions, and im aware that unions have done good. but now theyre not, they are way overpowered. just stfu. you know your history but youre obviously clueless to the economy if you dont think the unions are overpowered right now. stop trying to be cool online. union workers now are less productive then ever. loo kat the statistics. youre wrong. and this isnt about out of the country. its about the US. go preach union to sweat shops then idiot...

  • Maybe you should look at Germany, France, & paid Vaction, and more!!

    ,

Unions have there place in history Oh to speak of unproductive, Target lays off 600 and the next day Hey were opening 27 stores, Ever heard of Sweat Shops, Child Labor act, In the US. UAW sit down,

Oh the Red Necks what about them, The Coal Mine Workers, WV,(red necks) look it up, or how about not to long ago? the Pickers in CA, (Mexicans),and how them white owners of the Fruit Farms killed em! You Sir are one Dumb SOB.

  • yea, well union ruined most of the big businesses in our country. union workers are usually ridicuously unproductive. people in foreign countries work harder, make less, and require much less from the business they work for. why do you think we import so much? because our workers demand too much money for the low education job they do. When your work requires no intelligence, you usually get low pay. thats the way it goes. If you dont like it, go to school and EARN good pay. Dont demand it.
